Testimonials

"I joined Young Government Leaders New York City Chapter because I was looking for networking and development opportunities. I was a new government employee with the General Services Administration after serving in Ukraine for the American Peace Corps. I was presented with the challenge of being the youngest person in my respective organization with a very small network to build and rely upon.

I quickly found success with Young Government Leaders; their positive and welcoming environment allowed me to become the Chief Administrative Officer on their executive board within my first year with the Government.

Besides the networking and professional development opportunities that helped jumpstart my career, the opportunity to give back to my community drove me to become a better person. Last year we raised money for the New York City AIDs Walk while volunteering for riverside cleanups and helping special needs children learn to swim with an organization called Kids Enjoy Exercise. Now I am a regular volunteer with the organization on my own and I have YGL NYC to thank for providing me that opportunity.”
