It is making your emotions work for you, instead of against you. This presentation will explore the ways in which you can better understand the interaction between thoughts, emotions, and your behaviors. The focus will be on the causality between emotional self-awareness and social connection.

RSVP by: September 30, 2021 Each year, the Training Officers Consortium (TOC) makes a financial donation to the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) Foundation who in turn uses it to award scholarships to two outstanding incoming freshmen who are current-year graduates of a District of Columbia public high school. Additionally, the Annual TOC Distinguished Service Awards Program was launched by the Training Officers Consortium in 1955 to stimulate improved government-sponsored training programs through recognition of individuals making significant contributions to the Federal training community in the field of human resource development (training, education, and career development). This fundraiser will ensure that these essential activities are funded for years to come so the future leaders can continue to go to school and leaders in the Federal training community can be recognized.
What can current and aspiring leaders do today to cultivate the pipeline of leadership in the federal government? This interactive panel discussion will share success stories and address obstacles in building the next generation of leadership in the federal workforce. Our multigenerational speakers will address: How aspiring leaders can stay motivated, especially in these times of change What resources are available to help young professionals move up the ladder Assessing career goals and when to say “enough is enough” Current and future leaders at all levels will benefit from hearing the perspectives shared across generations. This 4th annual across generations panel is brought to you by the African American Federal Executive Association, Executive Women in Government, Senior Executives Association, Blacks in Government (BIG) NOW Generation, Young Government Leaders, and Management Concepts.
