Spring into Fitness Event

  Greetings YGL Members, Do you have cabin fever and are you ready for some fresh air? If so spring into fitness with fellow hiking enthusiasts. Date:  March 20,2021 @ 9:30am Location: Burke Lake Park 7315 Ox Road Fairfax Station, VA 23039 Entrance fee:  Free Hike: 4.6 mile loop around the lake. • Meeting spot:  Near the restrooms by the boat launch dock (looks like the "F" on the map). This is a flat, wide dirt trail with occasional mud spots and tree roots to walk around.  The trail is dog friendly, kid friendly, stroller and wheelchair friendly. https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/sites/parks/files/assets/documents/waterfront/burkelake/burketrailmap.pdf  Please remember to RSVP to:bhensley@younggov.org

Join Young Government Leaders from across the country and coaches from the Federal Coaching Network for a Peer Coaching Workshop on April 19, 2021, from 6:00-7:30 PM EST.  A "Question Approach" to Leading People: Managing conflict, fostering diversity, developing others and leading teams all reflect how you choose to lead. And, how you lead matters. We suggest you start with a question. Join Young Government Leaders from across the country and coaches from the Federal Coaching Network for a Peer Coaching Workshop to explore the power of using a "question approach" to uncover the wisdom of the team in devising strategies and insights for "leading people." Learn together in small groups about the Leading People ECQ through a process that will teach you a methodology you can apply immediately as a leader and team member. Attendees will have an opportunity following the session to continue with peer coaching and/or sign up with a one-on-one coach.

This fundraiser will ensure that these essential activities are funded for years to come so the future leaders can continue to go to school and leaders in the Federal training community can be recognized.
